Following the long line of Scandinavian Conferences on Image Analysis the 16th in the series is to take place in Oslo, Norway on June 15-18, 2009. The conference will take place at Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, which is located in the heart of Oslo.

All accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by Springer as a volume in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.
Since 2009 has been proclaimed the "International Year of Astronomy "by the United Nations General Assembly we are planning a session on the topic "Image and Pattern Analysis in Astronomy & Astrophysics".
In addition to scientific program tutorials, workshops and industrial exhibitions will be arranged. Monday June 15 is tutorial day.
The 11th International Symposium on Multispectral Color Science (MCS'09) is collocated with SCIA 2009.
Call for papers issued for the post-SCIA workshop Gjøvik Color Imaging Symposium 2009. The main theme of the workshop is "Putting human vision into image processing and evaluation"
The paper reviewing process is final, and decisions have been sent to authors.
