Following the long line of Scandinavian Conferences on  Image Analysis the 16th in the series is to take place in Oslo, Norway on June 15-18, 2009.

The conference invites paper submissions presenting original work within a range of topics related to digital images:

The 11th International Symposium on Multispectral Colour Science (MCS'09) is collocated with SCIA 2009

Paper submission
All submissions will be handled electronically. Submission instructions will be posted on the conference website www.scia2009.org. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers. Papers will be accepted for oral or for poster presentation. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which in turn will appear as a volume in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Submissions (as well as accepted papers) are limited to 10 pages. Authors are to follow these paper formatting guidelines.

Important dates
Submission of full paper: December 14, 2008
Notification of acceptance: February 22, 2009
Camera-ready paper: March 8, 2009
Registration for paper presenters: March 14, 2009

No further extension of deadlines will be given.

Tutorials and workshops
In addition to scientific program tutorials, workshops and industrial exhibitions will be arranged. Monday June 15 is tutorial day.

Gjøvik Color Imaging Symposium 2009 will be organized in collaboration with SCIA 2009 on Friday June 19.
